8 Purnell’s “Old Folks” Medium Country Sausage Patties
2 1/2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook sausage patties on medium heat. When sausage is done, remove it and use drippings to make the gravy. Crumble sausage patties to add later. Stir in the flour. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add in milk, salt, pepper and sausage crumbles to get your desired taste. Continue stirring to avoid lumps, bringing the gravy to a desired consistency. The longer it cooks, the thicker the gravy.
