Sausage Spinach Loaf

Purnell’s "Old Folks" Original Country Sausage (Medium), onion, garlic, spinach and cream cheese wrapped crescent rolls. It's Gooo-od!


All our varieties can be used in this recipe depending on your taste. Brown sausage, drain and set aside. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add oil, garlic, and onion. Saute until garlic and onion are soft. Next, add the spinach in batches until all is wilted with the garlic and onion then set aside. In a mixing bowl, mix sausage, cream cheese and spinach until well blended. Salt and pepper mixture to taste. Roll out the crescent rolls to 1/4 inch thick. Spread mixture down the center of the dough. Fold sides in to make a rectangle and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until nicely browned.


  • 1 lb roll of Purnell’s “Old Folks” Original Country Sausage (Medium)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 cups of fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese
  • 1 package of crescent rolls
  • salt and pepper to taste
