Sausage Sparklers


Jalapenos stuffed with our Purnell's Original Country Sausage (Medium) and cheese! It's simple, and you know it's Gooo-od!

Sausage Sparklers (Stuffed Jalapenos)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Cook sausage, drain and cool. Combine sausage and cheese in a large bowl.  Blend in baking mix with hands until well mixed.  Stuff into jalapenos, placing on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.  Serve warm or room temperature.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Purnell’s “Old Folks” Medium Country Sausage
  • 15-25 jalapenos, halved and seeds removed
  • 2 cups (8oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 cups all-purpose baking mix
