Sausage Quiche


Directions

Fry-scramble sausage until done and drain thoroughly. Put 1/2 each in pie shells. Combine remainder of ingredients and pour over the sausage. Bake at 400ºF for 35 minutes. These freeze well, and may be baked frozen, allowing additional cooking time.

Makes 2 quiches, serves 8.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Purnell’s “Old Folks” Medium or Hot sausage
  • 2 unbaked pie shells
  • 3 unbeaten eggs
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 lb. grated swiss cheese
  • 2 cups of Half and Half
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
