Sausage and Split Pea Soup
Make this soup with split peas, our Purnell's Smokehouse Sausage, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, red pepper, garlic powder, oregano.
In a 5-quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients.
Cover and cook on High setting for 4-5 hours. (After 4 hours, check peas for softness.)
- 1 lb split peas (dried)
- 1 lb Purnell’s Smokehouse Sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups carrot, chopped
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 white onion, diced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 4 cups water
