Spicy Sausage and Cheese Muffins
This muffin recipe gets its flavor from our Purnell's Spicy Medium Country Sausage and parmesan cheese. "It's Gooo-od!"
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 12 cup muffin tin or line with baking liners.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together all dry ingredients.
In an additional bowl, mix together the melted margarine, egg substitute, and buttermilk. Combine the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until just blended. Fold in sausage and Parmesan cheese.
Spoon into the prepared muffin cups. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top springs back when lightly touched.
Cool in muffin tins on a wire rack.

- 6 oz Purnell’s , cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, large
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
