Sausage and Bean Casserole
Try this casserole with our Purnell's Spicy Medium Country Sausage, and red kidney beans. It's Gooo-od!
Cook sausage slightly in skillet, drain. Combine with other ingredients and put in casserole. Bake at 250ºF for 1 1/2 hours.
- 1 lb. Purnell’s Spicy Medium Country Sausage
- 2 #2 cans of red kidney beans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 cups sliced apples
- 2 large yellow onions, sliced
- 1 cup tomato juice
- 1/4 tsp pepper (don’t add if you use hot sausage)
- 2 tsp garlic powder or one garlic clove minced
- Pinch of basil and cumin
