Pancake-Covered Breakfast Sausage

Made with Purnell's “Old Folks” Medium Country Sausage Patties


1 package Purnell’s Sausage Patties
2 cups pancake batter (out of a box or home-made)
Canola or vegetable oil
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
Maple syrup


Heat small amount of oil in large skillet.

Cook individual sausages over medium heat, turning often until golden brown. When finished, remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain the fat.

Now, in a separate bowl mix together pancake batter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and egg until well blended.

Dip each sausage patty individually into the batter and fry in saucepan with oil until light brown.

Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!
