Pancake-Covered Breakfast Sausage

Our Purnell's Original Country Sausage (Medium) Patties, pancake batter, egg, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla come together in this recipe. Smothered in maple syrup.


Heat small amount of oil in large skillet.

Cook individual sausages over medium heat, turning often until golden brown. When finished, remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain the fat.

Now, in a separate bowl mix together pancake batter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and egg until well blended.

Dip each sausage patty individually into the batter and fry in saucepan with oil until light brown.

Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!

  • 2 cups pancake batter (out of a box or home-made)
  • Canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • Maple syrup
