Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Spaghetti
When a well-known Italian restaurant needed an authentic Italian sausage for the Heritage Festival, they knew who to ask for the best cuts and freshest ingredients. Our Italian sausage is gooo-od! It makes the best spaghetti sauce.
In large skillet, brown sausage and onion. Drain excess grease. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, parsley, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, sugar and worchestershire sauce to the skillet. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer. Add water and stir. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
- 1 lb. Purnell’s Medium Pork Sausage or 1 lb. Italian Sausage
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- 1 Medium Onion, Chopped
- 15 oz. Tomato Sauce
- 6 oz. Tomato Paste
- 1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
- 1 tbsp. Dried Parsley
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- Crushed Red Pepper to Taste
- 1 tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp. Granulated Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
