Grilled Italian Sausage Burgers
This recipe calls for our Purnell's Italian Sausage (Medium) Burgers from the grill served on sourdough rolls with grilled vegetables, and topped with a balsamic reduction. "It's Gooo-od!"
Directions
Begin by preheating the oven to 425 degrees. Slive the bell pepper and onion into thin strips, and cut the tomato into 4 thick slices. Arrange these ingredients on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Cook for 6-8 minutes until the vegetables become tender. Remove and set aside.
While the toppings cook in the oven, fire up the grill to a medium-high heat. Then whisk the balsamic vinegar, mayo and minced garlic together in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl using a wooden spoon, break up the sausage.
Continue by adding the parmesan, bread crumbs and vinegar-mayo mixture, combining thoroughly. Then divide into 4 equal parts and patty the burgers.
Throw the burgers on the grill and cook all the way through, flipping them halfway through. Add mozzarella to each burger while still on the grill so the cheese will melt. Remove and place on sourdough bread, topping with tomato, peppers and onions.
