Baguette Boats

This recipe calls for stuffing baguettes with our Purnell's Original Country Sausage (Medium), eggs, heavy whipping cream, grated cheese and green onions. This sandwich is Gooo-od!


Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.

Slice the baguettes length-wise and pull out the middle. Be sure to leave about a 1/2 inch of bread in the bottom and on the sides. Then set aside.

Cook the sausage in a skillet on medium-high eat until golden brown. Slice into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

In a medium-sized bowl, beat together eggs and heavy whipping cream. Whisk in remaining ingredients (cheese, onions, salt/pepper) and sausage. Divide and pour the mixture into each baguette boat. Bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until cooked through.

Allow to cool, then serve!
Serving size: 4-6


2 large sourdough baguettes
1 lb Purnell’s “Old Folks” Sausage Links or Patties
8 eggs
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
6-8 oz grated cheese your choice (we recommend pepper jack or sharp cheddar)
3 green onions, sliced
