Try this Grilled Bratwurst with Apple Compote and Watercress Salad. Your family will love it! It's Gooo-od!
Directions
Preheat broiler to high.
Core and cut apples into eighths but do not peel. Place apples, water, cinnamon, and honey in a saucepan and cook over low heat until apples begin to fall apart, about 15 minutes. Turn off heat and cover to keep warm.
Place sausages on a baking sheet with the sliced side up. Place baking sheet under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, until sausages are browned. Be mindful not to burn. Remove baking sheet and add mustard to the top of the sausages and then place back under the broiler for additional 1-2 minutes.
While sausages are cooling, stem the watercress and add to a large bowl. Add sesame oil and toss to coat until leaves are evenly covered. If desired, add salt and pepper to taste.
Evenly portion watercress to plates, top with sausage and spoon apple compote on the side.
