Bratwurst and Sauerkraut Bake
Our Cooked Bratwurst baked with sauerkraut, onion, garlic cloves, brown sugar, apple sauce and peeled apples. It's Gooo-od!
Preheat oven to 350°. Drain and rinse sauerkraut in a colander.
Add all ingredients to large bowl and mix well. Pour into large casserole dish and cover. Bake for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
- 2 14 oz cans sauerkraut
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup born sugar
- 1/4 cup apple sauce
- 1/4 cup peeled apples, chunked
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 lb package bratwurst, sliced into 1-2” pieces
- 4 -6 potatoes, peeled and cut to 1” squares
